Why we exist
Bridge Recruiters started from a simple observation. Employers in Greece, from hotels and restaurants to families who need help at home or care for an elderly parent, find it harder every year to hire reliable staff. At the same time, the Philippines, India, Nepal and Vietnam have experienced, well-trained communities of hospitality and care professionals.
We were founded in 2024 to bridge those two needs. From our office in Athens (Solonos 5, Chalandri) we work on both sides of the bridge: in Greece, alongside the employer through the metaklisi process, and in the source countries through partner recruitment agencies. In the Philippines these are independent agencies licensed by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), which support the worker with assessment, DMW documents and travel preparation.
What we do
Every placement follows the official metaklisi route. In practice, that means six steps:
- Your needs and the job profile. We talk through the role, duties, working hours, accommodation and timing, and check that you are eligible to recall a worker.
- Sourcing through our partners. Our partner agencies in the source countries shortlist candidates who match your profile.
- Interviews and selection. You interview the shortlisted candidates online and choose. This first stage usually takes 2 weeks to 1 month.
- Metaklisi application and paperwork. We prepare the employer file, the employment contract and the metaklisi application, and follow it with the Greek authorities until approval.
- Visa and travel. After approval, our partners guide the worker through the exit documents and the type-D visa at the Greek embassy, and we coordinate the travel.
- Arrival and onboarding. We support the hire declaration on ERGANI, social insurance with e-EFKA and the worker's residence-permit application after arrival.
The whole process typically takes 4 to 7 months. For a step-by-step example, read our English guide to metaklisi for a live-in domestic helper, or browse more guides on the blog.

Why employers choose us
Full legal compliance. Every metaklisi is done within the current legal framework (Law 5038/2023, as amended by Law 5275/2026), with a written employment contract, full social insurance with e-EFKA and no charge of any kind to the worker.
Transparency at every step. Before we start, we explain what the process includes, how long it takes and what it costs in total. Our company details and legal framework are public on our company details page.
Both sides of the bridge. We are with you in Athens and work with partners in the source countries, so nothing falls between the cracks.
